Kappa Tablescapes Event Showcases Designers' Creativity

This week was spent planning, executing (and enjoying!) one of our favorite events of the year, Kappa Tablescapes. If you're unfamiliar with the event, it's a unique two-day fundraiser for the Dallas Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma that benefits Dallas community non-profit organizations. Over fifty designers, florists, event planners and boutique shops are invited to design a table using their creativity and unique perspective. What really makes the event special is seeing all the different themes and ideas come to life!

Barrington Table Inspiration

This year, our theme was the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas! When decorating our Christmas tree at our shop in Dallas last year, we realized that our small products make such cute ornaments! So why not decorate a whole table around this idea?! We used some of our medium sized products as the actual presents under the tree. They were the perfect accessories paired with a handmade vintage Christmas tree skirt! And of course, we couldn’t have a Christmas themed table without Beverly the Barrington Elf perched atop our tree, overseeing the festivities!

We used a plaid tablecloth (actually it’s a duvet cover we used as a tablecloth!) from Pottery Barn to start. Then, we got napkins with red piping, Santa mugs purchased from Target last year (similar ones from World Market), and Snowflake placemats from Pier 1.

We had a few of our favorite totes sitting in the chairs with boxes wrapped up in bows as if guests were arriving, gifts in hand!

And to top it all off, Beverly, as the tree topper with her

This was so much fun, and maybe our favorite theme yet! As for the other tables, we wish we could show you all of them, but here are just a few of our favorites!
